meemalee Hey @ExpediaUK my parents have been asking you to cancel flights to China they booked before this began.

They’ve sent SEVEN emails but get told to call instead, but each time they call, they get cut off!

They’re in their 70s and my mum has asthma - please just refund them!

lottelydia take it from someone who’s had 21 days of strike action this year: when you’re in quarantine you’re not going to get all those jobs done around the house that you’ve been putting off. you’re going to invent a new breakfast cereal by combining 3 existing types of breakfast cereal.

@jamesclay I was thinking of re-watching The Andromeda Strain. Can’t imagine why a film about an unfortunate combination of human cock-ups in reaction to a new microorganism nearly ends the world sprang to mind…

Spotting that weird Post article about how you can’t get a delivery shopping slot in Bristol at the moment reminded to do my Ocado order. They’re coming tomorrow at 10am. 🤷‍♂️👀

@daycoder I’m going to have to see what I can Heath Robinson together to make things more survivable when the time comes. I imagine big monitors are selling like medical thermometers on Amazon right now.

julesforrest Can we do a WFH workspace setup thread, unglamorous edition?

My partner and I are both working from our studio apartment. My setup is a chair in front of the front door and my desk is our clothes hamper. pic.twitter.com/5rVaqgkjjw

@paulahillier Yeah, I think we’re going to see a lot of very cobbled-together work-from-home setups over the next few weeks. I wonder if this could be the new , @rhodri :)

My back is aching in sympathy for the poor not-complete-geeks in IT who are going to spend a fortnight at home bent over a shite tiny laptop screen trying to do a day job that normally takes up a dual-24”-widescreen setup. Not everyone has luxurious IT at home.

@quantick You know, I hadn’t considered Yakety Sax as my coffin-rolls-behind-the-curtain music until you said that, but now it’s a strong contender.
