@craigmod On the other hand, for little utilities that don’t need much access and you don’t know if you can trust the developer, the more sandboxed App Store version might offer more security.
@craigmod If you have the option, I’d go for the developer’s download version, especially with apps that might need more permissions. Sometimes there’s extra functionally there, eg DaisyDisk has better scanning in the non-App Store version. (And developers can offer upgrade pricing easily)
