@TippyTLawton The problem one was the standard Amazon leather case with no light.
@jenniferehle Erm… Use Image Capture (I think; working from memory here) on the Mac instead of iPhoto.)
@alexjbutcher @AlecMuffett Just as well, really; the Kindle’s been signed by William Gibson so I don’t want to send it back!
@alexjbutcher @AlecMuffett Mine’s been fine in a Duragadget case this week, so I reckon I’ve avoided damage.
@alexjbutcher @AlecMuffett Yup. I mailed them to ask about it, and about five minutes later a very nice man phoned to give me refund + more.
@tyronem But nice man from Amazon CS I spoke to definitely said there was a recall on the non-light case.
@tyronem Case with the light is fine, apparently — presumably because it’s designed to hook up with the internal connector…
@tyronem Mine was occasionally dying when asleep in case, needing reboot, or having battery drain fast. Didn’t happen in non-Amazon case.
@tyronem Seems to be that the case’s metal lug may get too close to the lighted case’s power connector.
My Amazon case may have been crashing my #kindle. Amazon have kindly refunded and added enough on top to replace with the lighted case ;)
@technex Wonder if they pay commission? ;)
@Nose_in_a_book @Hombre_Mediocre What!? Noooo! Emmeline went on her travels, but Jess was meant to be looking after it… Will investigate.
Looking out of the window this morning made me want to process more sunny photos :) http://flic.kr/p/98b9Jc
@Jorence Might be worth it.
@Jorence Yeah. Think I might take the boat today. And the late boat, at that.
