@KellyJanner Yup.
@rbrwr @rabidbee @matthew_roach Indeed.
@AlasdairStuart Yes, okay, that’s fair enough!
@AlasdairStuart Thus giving the Broken Arrow writers something to steal to give Travolta his one good line in an otherwise dire film :)
Red October. Film 4. Any minute now.
@rabidbee @rbrwr @matthew_roach Seem to remember one guy being caught after a familial match found with sister’s DNA, anyway…
@hannahnicklin Dommage.
@hannahnicklin Erm… Both?
@Jorence Sounds good to me :)
@matthew_roach @rbrwr Of course, still not clear whether the police really want to do it. Hope not, as it’d indicate they’re out of ideas :(
@rbrwr @matthew_roach I notice that the article doesn’t actually mention whether the police actually have any DNA they want to compare. Odd.
@Jorence Well, he does have a lovely voice. But no, fair enough, I think I’d happily defer to @JessicaRuth84 on that front.
There was an old Shoviet from Leith
Who wanted to run from the Easht
He took Red October
He handed her over
Now he’sh in Kansas, how shweet!
@Jorence Sharing? Now, let’s not agree to anything rash, eh, @JessicaRuth84…
Och, yesh. The Hunt for Red October is on Film 4 tonight. Great film. Great accent. “Perishcope depth, Vashilly!”
@JessicaRuth84 Aye, cap’n!
Snap from the walk home from today’s jog. http://twitpic.com/3oitn9
@ahnlak I’m always surprised with G’Kar turns up to be the bad guy at the end of _The Fugitive_.
Watching Star Trek:TNG. Just realised that the telepath in this episode was also Mayor Wilkins in Buffy :)
@BlackDogDays Sorry. Too late. You need to be faster than that to share cheesecake with me.
CHEESECAKE. That is all.
Heh. This email would be more impressive if I didn’t know it was just because I took last month off :) http://twitpic.com/3oi29p
@KaveyF I’m guessing it’s spam from people whose profile picture is the “new user” egg…
First 5K of the year run, though :)
Haven’t used @Runkeeper for a couple of weeks. Today it won’t send my activity and skipped my “every 1km” audio cues. Did I miss something?
@Jorence Well, at least it’s reliable.
@Jorence I mostly rely on CMSes. But learning PHP has helped me battle them into submission rather more effectively :)
@Jorence You haven’t seen the code. Still, that’s what learning’s all about.
@Jorence The project I created to learn PHP when I was just starting out in web programming. http://uniquesentence.com
Speaking of which, I must also get on with my long-awaited rebuilding of Unique Sentence.
@Jorence That’s probably a unique sentence.
Okay. Think I’ll get changed and head out for my first run of the year.
@johnfbraun @Phooto I’ve not really noticed that. Mind you, I’ve got 8GB in this iMac, so maybe that’s not so surprising.
@sean_robbins But as a resident of Clifton Village South’s Gorgeside district, I probably shouldn’t comment.
@sean_robbins Indeed; it was a conversation on here about the West End that prompted this: http://bit.ly/e7aqpN :)
@Dru_Marland @Bristol_Culture And presumably I’m not in ‘otwells, I’m in Cliftonwood West.
@Phooto Cool. Personally, this week I appear to have secular eggs, from the Barrington Park estate. Looking forward to trying them later :)
B247Martin Is Bristol’s West End an artificial geographical construct invented by marketing men or something better than that? http://bit.ly/e7aqpN
@Phooto Hmm. The Italian version. “Eggs Benedictine”?
@rabidbee @Bristol_flickL @Thehappyfatgirl You need to be in constant training to walk around bloody Bristol :)
@goatgirl74 It’s presumably easier to clone things that only have one helix.
@Bristol_Culture Ah, cool, thanks for looking into it!
@xabl Huh?
@goatgirl74 Can’t get away from the bloody man, either.
@nickbrompton Which is why I’m quelling my dissent early. Not having mine joining those Hirsuteness Against Imperial Repression buggers.
Loving @TTApress’s bold two-page spread design on this story. #blackstatic
Trimming my beard before it achieves sentience and declares independence.
@njj4 Have you seen the previous one? http://www.youtube.com/w…
(well, new to me, anyway…)
Ooooh. New video of Danny MacAskill. http://www.youtube.com/w…
@Thehappyfatgirl Worth keeping an eye on the Bristol Flickr Group discussions — @MGBS4 organises interesting group walks.
@Thehappyfatgirl I’m lazy; if I want to photo-walk I normally just go around the harbourside.
RT @Thehappyfatgirl: @gothick do u know of any good photography trails in Brizzle, Matt? <— Anyone?
@Jorence @twittl3s You have a Christmas jumper? In that case, may I recommend Crumpler’s new “Doonican” laptop bag?
@Phooto …in fact, I fixed a mildly annoying bug in it once. If that made it into the webkit code, maybe I helped improve Safari :)
@Phooto No, but Linux users have other choices. I used the webkit-based Konqueror long before I used Safari.
@Phooto That’s pretty much what I’ve got at home on the Mac, plus Virtual Box and IETester for IE.
@Phooto Luckily, having technically been a web developer at some point in my job, I was allowed to install it…
@Phooto Heck, I have to use _IE6_ at work for some of our systems. It’s still the standard desktop. But I use Firefox for everything else.
@Phooto I prefer Firefox on Windows, Sarari on the Mac. Maybe I just don’t like aesthetic clashes :)
Loving the fact that if I accidentally close a tab in Safari, cmd-Z actually works to undo it and brings the tab back.
@StephenGatbjs On the other hand, it’s probably worth it for the jokes. http://bit.ly/evm0gu
@KaveyF *evil giggle*
@KaveyF So, I got it perfectly right, then ;)
Listening to NPR. “Talk of the Nation Science Friday” is fab. While I love @BBCRadio4, I’d rather not be depressed by the Archers today!
@KaveyF Heh. That’s what Simon said. And the rotation is one of the reasons I like it :D
Doing one final batch of late photo processing before I head for bed. I quite like this one: http://flic.kr/p/98Ew9q
