@guriben @amberanima @chubbybannister My motivation was taking up karate. Being hit in the face is much less pleasant with glasses on :)

@guriben @amberanima Once you’re good at it, you don’t actually touch your eye. Just drop the lens against it, really.

via Echofon in reply to guriben

@amberanima But really, I think it’s all about just doing it lots and lots so you lose the fear a bit.

via Echofon in reply to amberanima

@amberanima Like, my friend Dave can do his one-handed, without a mirror. The freak. I need mirror, hand to hold eye open, hand for lens…

via Echofon in reply to amberanima

@amberanima You’ve just got to get as much practice/playing about as you can until you figure out the way that works for you.

via Echofon in reply to amberanima

@amberanima That’s what I thought. But it’s not as bad as it sounds. Honest. And it’s great not steaming up.

via Echofon in reply to amberanima

@guriben @MediaBen Yeah, but at least you can pretend you’re in _Minority Report_ while you’re being unproductive :D

@MediaBen @guriben The really odd thing is the way scrolling works the other way round, i.e. dragging drags the *content* in that direction.

via Echofon in reply to guriben

@guriben There’s an option to turn them back on again. Er, apparently. Besides, I use Linux & Windows as well; just depends what I’m doing!

via Echofon in reply to guriben

@MediaBen No scrollbars by default. Only appear when you start scrolling.

via Echofon in reply to benhorsleyco

I like scrollbars. They tell me how much stuff there is outside the viewport without me having to do anything.

@domwakeling Correct. Or, to give it its full title, Star Trek IV: Save the Wales.

“Don’t tell me: you’re from outer space?” “No, I’m from Iowa. I only work in outer space.”

@mattgemmell Prediction: tomorrow morning, black postcard arrives with glossy black Weather App cloud. Message: “Careful with that NDA.”

@emmafurious *applause* Great motivation for training through the summer :)

@matt_fwyalchen Also, not everyone follows standard, and I’m with @ahnlak on this one, too. Should be like the MagSafe power on Mac lappies.

@matt_fwyalchen Standard’s meant to be that the logo on plug matches with the logo on socket. Not helpful when reaching round back though!

@PhilpottsLtd Thanks! But please also feed back that apart from this one-off disappointment, they’re doing a tip-top job.

@dhh Make sure you avoid being upsold random crap at the pixmania checkout. They’ve come over quite GoDaddyish when I’ve used them.

@PhilpottsLtd Victoria Street, Bristol. Where, to be fair, sarnies are always fab and staff always lovely. Maybe I’m a croissant snob.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to PhilpottsLtd

@hayles Ah, okay. So roughly as likely as my suggestions, then ;)

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to hayles

You recently bought a new digital camera. Because of that, we thought you’d be interested in buying another new digital camera!

via Birdhouse

@hayles We’ll probably whine at you anyway.

Ugh. Stale croissant. Thanks, Philpotts. Should’ve asked Steve to go out of his way and drop me on Baristas side of work :)
