Hrm. Maybe they should introduce alcohol minimum pricing for subsidised bars in the workplace…

@BlackDogDays Oh. I was hoping for at least a mini egg.

If I move away from Hotwells, I’ll miss this walk into town. instagr.am/p/W2JM3IJC3f/

Google Analytics next for the chop, after it turns out it’s really bad at estimating the number of angry, vocal users a web service has.

@charlie_cat_esq YOUR OPPRESSION OF MY RIGHT TO BE OUTRAGED IS OUTRAGEOUS! I’M OFF TO START A PETITION ABOUT SOMETHING.

Waiting for a cloud to cover the sun. Come on, universe, I’ve got a picture to take.

A great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were told to use Google+ instead.

Might take some time out to play this later today, just so I can feel properly old. pic.twitter.com/NIJMbdsLMG

@ahnlak @tsunimee Because the users were losing them money, I’d guess.

@tsunimee @ahnlak Arse. Don’t bother with FeedDemon. Google took FeedDemon down with it when they killed Reader. groups.google.com/forum/?fromgro…

@DavidJNoble …that the thing won’t just go away at some point.

via Echofon in reply to DavidJNoble

@DavidJNoble It’s a tough one. I generally prefer services where I pay them money, to advertising-fed ones, but even that’s no guarantee…

via Echofon in reply to DavidJNoble

@DavidJNoble Of course, that means I’m sort of responsible for Reader dying. But I almost always prefer native apps to web interfaces.

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to DavidJNoble

@DavidJNoble I use NetNewsWire, anyway, so the only thing I risk losing is sync, which I rarely use these days anyway…

via Tweetbot for iOS in reply to DavidJNoble

No, hearing about Reader being killed off via Twitter doesn’t mean Twitter killed RSS. For reasons I can’t explain in 140 characters. QED.

@tsunimee @ahnlak When I did use Windows, though, feeddemon.com was the app I used. Maybe worth a look? Been years, though.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee @ahnlak (Though virtually every RSS reader I’ve used uses the Google Reader service for syncing between devices. Ow.)

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee I think @ahnlak will be more helpful here. I use NetNewsWire on a Mac. Never really got into Reader.

@MickDickinson Oooh! Thanks for the reminder. *goes to rescue tea*
