@tsunimee No problem, m’dear. Just don’t ask me to wrestle with CSS every day, it’s always fiddly :)

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Careful. My head is getting big.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Ooopsie. Sorry, was being too general. Anywhere in the CSS. Erm. This is tough without knowing how Blogger works.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Ah, okay, that’s not in the CSS.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Just put it anywhere. You don’t have to add it inside anything else. Shove it at the bottom of the file, it should be fine.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@BristolBites I thought I heard some cheering from down the road…

via Echofon in reply to BristolBites

@tsunimee (Just the bit in the RAW Paste Data box should do.)

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Have you got somewhere you can add custom CSS to your blog? If so, try pasting this into it: pastebin.com/26jdWubq

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee This is what I’m trying to fix. I changed the background colours so you could see what’s going on. skitch.com/e-gothick/8xr6…

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee It’s used a lot by geeks fiddling with web stuff :D

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Your imagemap is just perfect. It’s because it’s underneath the (invisible) margin of your sidebar on the blog. Working on it!

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Yup. Your image map code works just fine, on its own: jsfiddle.net/JhFGc/

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Well, it’s just a guess so far, but it seems to be what’s going on. What I’m seeing: skitch.com/e-gothick/8xr5…

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Oof. I think your imagemap is working fine, but the top of your sidebar is on top of it, so it’s absorbing the clicks.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@tsunimee Well, I know what they are…

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

@BlackDogDays I snapped it the other day, and thought of you immediately :) @talithahg

via Echofon

@ghostfinder Birdbrain (iPhone app) lists people I’ve blocked, so it must be available somewhere…

via Echofon in reply to ghostfinder

@PeteWilliams But yes, wasn’t planning on paying much; this will be a doddle for someone who know what they’re up to.

via Echofon in reply to PeteWilliams

@PeteWilliams It’s not so much the competence (which is a factor, though!) as the lack of tools to put a hole through the wall.

via Echofon in reply to PeteWilliams

Thank you all, by the way, for your tap-related re-tweets. I think I’m on my way to outside tap ownership.

via Echofon

@JimCombiline No worries. You’re on the “to-do” list (with the right number :) )

via Echofon

@JimCombiline Cool, ta, I’ll give you a bell.

via Echofon

@julienbob Ta. Doesn’t look like it fits my need in this case, but might be helpful elsewhere.

via Echofon in reply to julienbob

Five fecking quid? For every overseas transaction? Grrrrrrr at business bank accounts.

via Echofon

Speaking of which, does anyone know a Bristol tradesperson who will fit me an outside tap (Hotwells area)?

via Echofon

@KaveyF I hope he retires to Bristol. I need an outside tap fitted.

via Echofon in reply to Kavey

@wood5y Yeah, right. They probably just get their secretaries to print out their porn for them.

via Echofon in reply to wood5y

@BristolBites Hurrah! Bet he enjoyed it, in the end.

via Echofon in reply to BristolBites

@BradleyLaw @Phooto @AndyCarolan Yeah, which is how I feel when I start trying to figure out who to switch to. Bah.

via Echofon in reply to BradleyLaw

@Phooto @BradleyLaw @AndyCarolan I don’t *think* I can switch to plan that includes tethering without losing my unlimited data, though.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

Spam tech is rubbish. Three “free iPad” spams just after I tweeted that I *didn’t want an iPad*.

via Echofon

@BradleyLaw @AndyCarolan @Phooto Though I do have to be careful, living in a basement flat. No Orange signal at all, last time I checked.

via Echofon in reply to BradleyLaw

@BradleyLaw @AndyCarolan @Phooto At some point — probably when I upgrade this 3GS — I will actually shop around.

via Echofon in reply to BradleyLaw

@stillawake Mmmm. I have some “learning days” built up; I should probably do one this week.

via Echofon in reply to stillawake

@Phooto Oh, dearie me. Just read that post.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

@Phooto @BradleyLaw Yes, but I don’t want an iPad.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

@Phooto @BradleyLaw That’s why I’m fine, then. I don’t commute, or use much data while actually on the road, just at the ends.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

@stillawake Mmm. Keep on thinking that I should work at the Central Library for a day every now and again.

via Echofon in reply to stillawake

@Phooto @BradleyLaw I’ve been very impressed with their coverage, from central London to the edge of Clovelly. Guess it depends.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

@AndyCarolan @BradleyLaw I’d have to pay extra. Plus, I can work for a couple of hours in a cafe without killing the iPhone battery.

via Echofon in reply to AndyCarolan

@BristolBites Has he flown in small planes before? I love it, personally, though I’ve never crossed the Channel.

via Echofon in reply to BristolBites

@AndyCarolan @BradleyLaw But wait! This one gives me 937 texts that I won’t use per month, a cashback deal, and bonus Nectar points!

via Echofon in reply to AndyCarolan

@AndyCarolan @BradleyLaw But I fear looking at the market, as it’s so hard to compare plans.

via Echofon in reply to AndyCarolan

@AndyCarolan @BradleyLaw I’m probably paying too much. I’m on the original O2 iPhone unlimited plan. And I also have a 3 MiFi.

via Echofon in reply to AndyCarolan

@BristolBites Probably an awful lot safer than being *driven* to France by someone who’s had a driving licence less than a year.

via Echofon in reply to BristolBites

@BradleyLaw Oh, hang on, I see what you mean.

via Echofon in reply to BradleyLaw

@BradleyLaw Sounds a bit drastic. Surely you can live without unlimited data?

via Echofon in reply to BradleyLaw

@hayles The iPhone app download is 755 times the size of the entire memory of an Electron. :)

via Echofon in reply to hayles

@hayles I’m not sure there’s even a sensible way to calculate that. (I first played it on the Electron, of course…)

via Echofon in reply to hayles

Repton? On my phone? Think I might have to give that a try. iRepton.com
