@FozzTexx Not sure. The chained file just shuffles memory and *RUNs the SNOWMEN file, so it’ll be machine code, not BASIC.

@FozzTexx Definitely holding shift? Okay. Erm. Try CHAIN “+.SNOWMEN”. Seems to be what the loader’s doing.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx What do you get with a straight SHIFT-BREAK?

FozzTexx Auto typing on the through the serial port. Thanks to @gothick for the help! vine.co/v/i7w5ulpteTe

@FozzTexx (But that article earlier should do the trick if you’ve got something that can send to the Beeb)

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx I don’t think I even have anything here with a serial port these days.

via Tweetbot for iΟS in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx Ouchie. Yeah, pick an easy one, why don’t you? :)

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx (Also, I think if you can connect emulator’s serial port to a native port, *FX 3, 5 would let you list program to port.)

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx I’ve never tried a JS one. I think the one I’ve used in the past is BeebEm.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx Oh! And the Sweet Dreams one is excellent, from what I remember.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx Heh. I remember having the Axel-F one and the Captain Pugwash one :)

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx There’s a disk image (SSD) file that should load straight in.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx One thing you could try is to load them in an emulator, then list the program to transfer the BASIC text out.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx Yeah, that is definitely tokenised BASIC :) Can see the parameters for the ENVELOPE and SOUND commands!

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx Ah, your BASIC program is a binary image? Hadn’t grokked that.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx I don’t see a need for a disk drive there. You’re basically setting up the serial port as keyboard input.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@FozzTexx I know there’s at least one program around that can play UEF files as sound for loading, but I’ve never tried it.

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to FozzTexx

@louisejonesetc Yeah; I need to change mine but I’d have to buy an older camera first to keep the trend going…

You can’t see my friend’s camera in this picture because the camouflage is so good. instagram.com/p/-_p7DQpC9u/

@chrisphin (I’m male, and I even have one of those extra quarter-sinks for throwing mugs of tea down and I *still* see the point of them.)

via Tweetbot for Mac in reply to chrisphin

@danbarker Triple denim? I’m imagining a denim bow tie.

Doing accounting stuff. By which I mean drinking tea and avoiding doing accounting stuff.

@emmajanehw @24ways You had me at, “It’s worse; it’s about git.” :)

via Twitter Web Client in reply to emmajanehw

emmajanehw HAPPY MONDAY! I wrote an article for @24ways about rebasing in Git. You should read it. :) 24ways.org/2015/git-rebas…
