@stillawake Yes. Yes, it is. And not bad, even if I say so myself. :)
@Thehappyfatgirl I’m cooking for Emm. Who is now prodding me at dating sites. I think she’s trying to marry me off.
@KaveyF (And for Emm.)
@KaveyF @Bristolvor There was a cauliflower cheese amped up with bacon, with asparagus, and an apple and blackberry crumble. #burp

@domwakeling It was the new doobry whatsit I was using.
@domwakeling (Mostly due to bugs in the OSX X11 at the time, mind; it was just after an OS release. But it still put me off.)
@domwakeling I’ve avoiding installing X11 so far on this Mac. And Gimp and Inkscape were nightmarish under it last time I tried.
@guriben @wood5y I long for the innocent days of yore, where ICMP requests could roam unhindered across the green valleys of the internet.
@guriben It got four hops into C&W before it stopped echoing, if that helps.
@guriben Request timeout.
I really don’t think life should be this complicated.
Firing up Windows to use Inkscape to convert a Google-provided Adobe Illustrator file for use in Sketch on my Mac to do Android marketing.
@guriben Well, I’ve got a Debian box here too, but it’s headless. Actually, I could install the Windows Inkscape on this testing VM…
@guriben I’ve got vector graphics editor I love, but it doesn’t import from Illustrator; installing Inscape just to convert seems OTT.
@guriben Yeah, but it’s a last resort as it means installing X11, which I’ve managed to survive without so far.
Apple helpfully use SVG for their vector App Store marketing badges. Google use Illustrator for theirs, damn it. *hunts for non-Adobe thing*
@claireellent No, I was named after the singer. Not many people know his full name was Aubergine Pitney, mind.
@claireellent One of my many middle names is “Aubergine”. #maybebluffing
@Thehappyfatgirl Clearly my usual decision to cave at the first offer of chips is a poor strategy.
@Whatleydude Can you just put the writing away for 24 hours and have another look? That’s a good substitute, if you’ve not got an editor.
@wood5y @libbymiller I know it’s happening already.
@wood5y @libbymiller Given what I know about computers, I still think we’re better off with humans for at least another fifty years…
@claireellent *Puts on another hat or two* *Runs for Emperor*
@wood5y @libbymiller Whereas computers have no reputation for flakiness at all, of course :D
