BristolBites URGENT - does anyone rent a flat via Bristol Residential Lettings and know their emergency telephone number? I need it! Please RT!

@Bristolvor It was. Good coffee, too. And a cheese and Marmite toastie. Win! (Lashings, just off Black Boy Hill.)

Having a brill lazy day so far. Next: sofa, more book, with organic flapjack and green tea, and The XX on in the background.

@moonbeatle Hurrah! There’s nothing quite like seaside chips.

@jakepjohnson …I did work for a home contents insurer for years, so my perspective is probably a bit skewed.

via Echofon in reply to jakepjohnson

@jakepjohnson Also, I’m pretty much constantly surprised by how few people actually have contents insurance at all. But then…

via Echofon in reply to jakepjohnson

@jakepjohnson Many home contents insurers exclude laptops and phones, or have specifically higher excess for them.

via Echofon in reply to jakepjohnson

@jakepjohnson But yes, always good idea to check existing insurance before adding more.

via Echofon in reply to jakepjohnson

@jakepjohnson On a lot of home contents insurance, excesses are high and many things excluded, especially when away from home.

via Echofon in reply to jakepjohnson

Right. Waterproof cover on Kindle, candles lit, playlist queued. See you in a bit.

via Echofon

@Thehappyfatgirl I’m afraid there’s a bit of a queue on that one.

via Echofon in reply to Thehappyfatgirl

@Bristolvor That’s the one. Only a few pages in so far.

via Echofon in reply to Bristolvor

@nitsohara Careful, they’ll be trying to get your bank details out of you for a swan charity.

via Echofon in reply to nitsohara

Gosh, that was nice coffee (Clifton Coffee Company; Shegole Co-Op, Ethiopia.)

via Echofon

@domwakeling @Phooto Hah! You are an advertising stereotype.

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@Thehappyfatgirl There’s barely enough spare room in it for the water when I’m in… Or were you thinking timeshare rather than sublet? :D

via Echofon in reply to Thehappyfatgirl

Today: Long bath, new Iain M Banks novel, take stuff to charity shop, wander to harbourside market, (sigh) deal with forum spam.

via Echofon

@Phooto @domwakeling I’m not a fan of nuts either, generally. The corn flakes seem to work, though.

via Echofon in reply to Phooto

@Thehappyfatgirl And that’s only because the deli had run out of pitted olives.

via Echofon in reply to Thehappyfatgirl

Just realised that the black dirt under my fingernails is actually kalamata olive flesh from last night’s cooking.

via Echofon

@Phooto @domwakeling Crunch nut cornflakes for me. :D

@baratunde Er. Don’t know about the stone bit, but the most famous not turning around bit in Greek myths is Orpheus and Eurydice.

@Bristolvor Well, I did give my stunt doubles the night off.
