@rhodri Hmm. Wonder where the millions were wasted. Buying a lot of Polyfilla, maybe?

@Kate_Butler Yeah, it’s one of the few bots where I’ve thought, “ooh, that’s quite a nice idea…”

via Echofon in reply to Kate_Butler

@Kate_Butler Ironically, though, you were right. I guess @_spell has an American dictionary.

via Echofon

@martingoode Er… I thought the Vatican _was_ a country?

via Echofon in reply to martingoode

@shezza_t Oh yes. And there were two of them. Double menace!

@mikeotaylor @SimonPeevers By hand. Think I could’ve done it by uploading a track, but for 5K it was probably just as easy to click a bit!

@guriben It’s amazing, isn’t it? Am astounded we generally make it to seven, let alone seventy.

@hayles Also, I have no idea how this huge rolling boulder got into my flat.

via Echofon in reply to hayles

Also, two-year-olds have a Steven Segal-like ability to turn any everyday household object into a deadly weapon.

via Echofon

@hayles Well, maybe the rotating knives.

via Echofon in reply to hayles

@tsunimee Working for me. Maybe Twitpic was just having a funny five minutes. It is a bit rubbish.

via Echofon in reply to tsunimee

That moment when kids visit and you realise your flat is about as child-friendly as a booby-trapped temple in an Indiana Jones movie.

via Echofon

Just fed the lorikeets :)

Thought the man walking toward me was in some kind of official uniform. Turned out his “70 Today!” badge just goes well with his jumper! :)

Tacking lazily up the hill to the zoo. @ Clifton Suspension Bridge http://instagr.am/p/DvpT…

via Instagram

@bexxi Well, I’m guessing the person drilling and hammering is doing something that’s actually _necessary_…

via Echofon in reply to bexxi

Woo hoo! hoo! hoo! I’m going to the zoo! zoo! zoo!

via Echofon

@mikeotaylor @SimonPeevers Ta! Have just traced your trail to turn into a RunKeeper route :) http://bit.ly/jJ8274

via Echofon in reply to mikeotaylor

@mikeotaylor Looks good to me! (Don’t really mind if I do come last; just dispiriting to know in advance that it’s foregone conclusion!)

via Echofon in reply to mikeotaylor

@mikeotaylor @SimonPeevers I’ll do it as long as there’s a fair chance I won’t come last :)

via Echofon in reply to mikeotaylor

@SimonPeevers So far, only doing the biggies. Bristol 10K & half. Might be convinced into a fun run here or there :)

via Echofon in reply to SimonPeevers

@SimonPeevers I guess it’s because I find the atmosphere quite encouraging at big races, and feels like the headphones cut me off from it.

via Echofon in reply to SimonPeevers

@SimonPeevers Like I said, I’ve never really felt the need for them on an actual race. Odd, because I really do when I’m training.

via Echofon in reply to SimonPeevers

@tweeny4 People keep telling me those spongey straps are good. Really must try one!

via Echofon in reply to tweenycrafts

@Jorence @domwakeling Probably because I used , so I needed to have headphones in anyway!

via Echofon

@Jorence @domwakeling I’d like to try running with headphones less, but it really helped me in the beginning, so I’m quite attached to it.

via Echofon

@domwakeling Maybe I just tend to interpret “please don’t do this” as a ban, in my head.

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@domwakeling Then again, I’ve never ended up using headphones for actual races — lose too much of the helpful crowd atmosphere!

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@domwakeling Bath Half definitely bans. Probably because it’s a two-lap course so there’s more chance of you inconveniencing someone faster!

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@Jorence @domwakeling …will be fine; will use RunKeeper plus the 305 for heart monitor, and not allowed headphones on most halves anyway!

via Echofon

@domwakeling @Jorence But to be fair, bought the 305 mostly for heart rate monitor and better battery life for half marathons. So…

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@VeraR2010 Okay, I’ve checked, and yes, I’m on Elite. Things I like: RunKeeper Live, and FitnessAlerts (little emails for personal bests!)

via Echofon in reply to VeraR2010

@domwakeling 305 seems fiddly, too. But I think most portable tech seems significantly more fiddly since modern touch smartphones arrived!

via Echofon in reply to domwakeling

@VeraR2010 Errr. Probably! Think I signed up for it for the fitness report thingy. Is the race stuff only for Elite people, then?

via Echofon in reply to VeraR2010

@benjohnbarnes @bccore Yeah, what @VeraR2010 said! Go Bens! :)

via Echofon

Oooh. @Runkeeper has routes for actual races now. Just signed up for the Bristol 10K on it. http://bit.ly/ePfJe6

via Twitter Web Client

@Jorence It’ll do some stuff for me fine. Problem is I like to run with music/podcasts, so I can’t hear the beep, annoying or otherwise!

via Echofon

Think I should have bought a GPS watch with a vibration alert. It often takes a cheap toe in the water to figure out what you really need!

via Echofon

@Jorence @Nose_in_a_book Ah. Well, I shall prepare to be blamed. I’m not sure whether I should post a list of keywords for you to avoid…

via Echofon

@Jorence @Nose_in_a_book Goodness. I’d hate to think I was encouraging anyone into unsafe tweeting :)

via Echofon

Dru_Marland anyone have a bike stolen in Corn St Bristol yesterday? (please RT)
